Acting instructors biographies
Rosalinda Morales a native of Los Angeles, California attended USC, and achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. Rosalinda began her career in the entertainment industry, 25+ years ago, as a Casting Associate moving on to Talent Agent where for 10 years she developed up and coming talent in the areas of film, TV, theater and commercials.
Rosalinda then returned to casting and production, working with notable industry professionals like veteran TV producer, Stu Segall and indie filmmaker, Ken Loach. Rosalinda’s focus on diversity casting has lead her to work throughout the U.S. and internationally on film, television and theatre projects in the areas of Production and Casting.
Rosalinda’s notable feature casting credits are Under the Same Moon (La Misma Luna (U.S. Casting)), Ladrón Que Roba a Ladrón; Por Vida (Down For Life) an urban cautionary story, starring Danny Glover, and a diverse cast including: Elizabeth Peña, Snoop Dogg and Kate del Castillo; and the short Lindo y Querido directed by Patricia Riggen (Under the Same Moon) and starring Academy award-nominee, Adriana Barraza (Babel). Rosalinda is currently working on the feature film Flights of Fancy which recounts the true life, rags to riches story of Dr. Ricardo E. Saca.
Rene Lopez Armenta is native of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico where he earned his Bachelors in Dramatic Arts from the University of Sonora in 2007. Following his graduation and in search of bigger venue to showcase his talent, Rene relocated to Tucson and quickly earned several roles in a variety of stage productions at Borderlands Theater.
Through his work on stage and relentless audition work, Rene demonstrated that he is not only a smart, creative and naturally gifted performer but also someone who enthusiastically shares his love for the art and craft of acting. Most recently, Rene starred in Sexo en Paraiso (Sex in Paradise), a Spanish language feature film produced and directed by Benjamin Lopez.
Sharing the screen with Dwayne Palmer, a Tucson acting veteran, Rene’s portrayal of Yayo in Sexo en Paraiso is intense, visceral and completely engaging. Currently, Rene is a movement and Spanish language drama instructor at VientoFuego Weekend Intensive Acting Workshop Series.
Angelica Rodenbeck is a native of Mexico City, where she earned a B.F.A. in Acting from the prestigious drama program at UNAM. To further her studies, Angelica received Meisner acting training at Prescott College, attended the National Michael Chekhov Association at the University of Southern Maine for Graduate Acting Studies and earned a certification on Chekhov's acting technique.
An experienced actor, Angelica has resided in Tucson for almost a decade and participated in several English and Spanish language plays at Pima Community College and Borderlands Theater. Recognized by her dynamic, consistent and perceptive work on the stage, Angelica’s biography was published in American Theater Magazine's December 2006 issue.
Angelica has starred in Sexo en Paraiso (Sex in Paradise), Caramelo, and La Venganza (The Vengeance), all feature Spanish language films distributed internationally on satellite, cable and DVD. Active in Arizona’s theater and film scene, Angelica has consistently showcased an ability to transition her performance from stage to camera with great ease and commitment. Currently, Angelica is an acting instructor at VientoFuego Weekend Intensive Acting Workshop Series.
Workshop description
The VientoFuego Weekend Intensive Workshop Series is designed to maximize an actor’s desire to advance their craft, learn a practical understanding of show business, possess a video demo reel of their work and most important, develop an ability to create a performance in any medium such as theater, film and television.
* THE ACTOR'S CRAFT *
We will expand an actor’s understanding of character development, text analysis and scene study in order to bring to life a character that is real and multi-dimensional. Depending on the acting level and depth, the actor will examine the approaches of Stanislavsky, Michael Chekhov and Sandy Meisner and apply the appropriate exercises.
* SHOW BUSINESS *
We will feature information on today’s most essential show business topics such as selecting the right acting coach, the casting process, agency selection and representation, union vs. non-union work, headshots and demo reels, scam prevention, legal document review and contract negotiation.
* ON-CAMERA TRAINING *
We will present actors the opportunity to do On-Camera Training that will include scene study, character development, auditioning & camera technique, improvisation, cold reading and most important, footage for their actor's demo reel.
